Raid Event Strategy
(Beta version)
Raid Events are one of the best events to gain lots of items in a short amount of time. Since every Raid Event is different, and the amount and type of gifts given for progression and defeating bosses seems to change every event, please take this article with a grain of salt, and just go with it for what it is worth.
Raid Events start out with questing that starts at the lowest level: 1 energy for 1 enemy, and progressively get more difficult the further you go in the event. The only down point to the Event Quest is that you do not gain (parameter points) for completing quests, only for leveling your account.
Bosses appear randomly and at fixed intervals during the event. These intervals are determined by LoC, and they do have a pattern (kind of). It's not completely discernible but you can count on getting a boss every 5 or so completed quests. Sometimes you run into a group of bosses, one after another, in which case you can gain a massive amount feeder cards in a short amount of time.
Beginning the Raid Event:
Starting off you will find it very easy to gain ground as well as gain cards. Bosses show up regularly, and they are easy to defeat. I suggest most players beat these bosses by themselves and try and progress in the Raid Event as far as possible as quickly as possible. "Forging Ahead" is a quick way to gain your experience and use your energy quickly. Be careful as you can lose presents if you do not have enough energy to defeat all the enemies the game wants to give you.
Middle Raid Event:
For each player this point is determined by their level as well as the amount of energy points they have. After a few Raid Events you will know where your middle ground is. This is the time you will start to be defeating the level 10+ bosses, possibly the ones that you cannot defeat with "full attack" power. It is best that you invite your fellow guild members and friends to battle these enemies with you. Not only will you be more successful in destroying the enemy, all members who participate will gain "Event treasure" from participating.
Latter Raid Event:
Now is the time to really pull together if you are in a guild. The bosses will be much stronger, and you will need to team up against them. Plus that rewards for defeating these bosses are much more lucrative. I suggest calling in guild members as soon as possible to your battles. If you have a boss with a huge amount of HP, I suggest battling it until your attack power is depleted then use an "Orb of Sacred Light" on it so that you regain your attack power, and increase the damage done by every member participating in the battle. One orb can be used on one boss. Once a boss is orb'ed, another orb has no further or lasting effect on the boss at all, but it will replenish your attack power.
Event Strategy:
Waiting till the hidden boss appears is a good strategy at trying to conserve your PP until you can gain the maximum amount of damage for it, by using it on an orb'ed hidden boss. The drawbacks are you may not be able to make it far enough in the Event Quest in order to do this with your attack power in tact and not using any PP along the way. Its kind of a toss up, so you decide. If you have hard charging guild members, you can always tag along for their big battles and hopefully get some good treasure from it. You might also want to keep your Orbs until you see some bigger bosses. Anyone can Orb a boss, and the benefits of orbing only come from the first player to orb the boss. So talk it over with your fellow guild members as to who is the best candidate to orb the boss.
Using Gained Treasure:
Battling the bosses in the Raid Event will give you many many feeder cards, some MBD's PP's ED's and various other treasure. You may also gain common skilled cards along the way. These cards are great to be used when trying to advance the skill levels of your attack and defense line cards! I suggest using the treasure as you get it, so that you don't clutter your Presents list, however each player does what they want with their list. Keys gained are a great way to increase the amount of Rare or Ultra Rare cards you have. They can be redeemed in the Raid Event main screen listed under: Boss Reward Chest.
Boss Reward Chest:
The Boss Reward Chest is filled with a bunch of helpful cards and items. If you have keys you should use them before the Event ends so that your keys do not disappear and you lose your chance at gaining items. Most items here can be traded or used as feeder cards for your UR's and Front-line Rares.
Rewards:
There are individual and guild rewards available during this event. There are also half time awards dolled out for progress in the event during the break. Most items can be worth going for, but you as a player have to decide whether or not the next level of rewards is worth going for or not. You also may lose ranking when you sleep. it is very common for a player to lose his ranking only to gain it back right before he goes to bed the following day, lol.
All in all the Raid event is pretty chill and a good time to blow a few PP trying to gain some cards if you need them.
For raid battles does it matter is I use cards that are aligned with my element or not?
ReplyDeleteCards aligned with your element are always best to use because of the "Elemental Bonus" you receive for attacking. If you have cards that are not of your Element the Raid Bonus should transpire to your backline cards but you will not get the initial "Elemental Bonus" for having a frontline with 5 cards of your specific element.
