SKILLS CALCULATOR / ENHANCING CALCULATOR

Here is a copy of the Legend of the Cryptids (r) Skills Enhancing Calculator I developed a while back. I was going to originally charge a small fee for it but what the heck, people need it and it wasn't that hard to develop anyways.

Attack & Defense CARD RATIO

The Importance of:
Attack & Defense Card Ratios

While playing LoC it is important to have the best Attack and Defense line that you can have for the cards you own. One way to do this is to gain "parameter points" when you "quest". But those points only go so far when it comes to using certain cards for attacking or defending.

Now I am going to show you how to maximize your attack and defense with the cards you have so that your points are being put to the best use possible!

The first thing you need to pay attention to is "Your Element". When you started the game, you selected either forest, fire, or water for an element. This is important as it should dictate the element of cards you should focus on getting. You need to build an Attack and Defense line of ONLY cards in your element. These cards should have the best skill for what line you are building: Attack skills and drops in defense for your Attack line, and Defense skills and drops in Attack for your defense line. Once you have your line built, you can focus on the second part of the discussion.

The second part is a bit tricky but will maximize your line. Look at the skills your "Attack line" cards have. Im going to give an example so you can see what I am saying.

Lets Say: (You are forest element), and you have 2 cards on your attack line with Medium boost to Forest attack, another 2 with small boost to forest attack, and 1 with a medium drop in water defense. You are going to want to "Skill level up" your 2 cards with Medium boost to forest attack. This will give you the greatest boost to your backline cards you can get. Once those cards skill levels are boosted you can work on the next part. The next thing you want to do is to find cards with the best attack ratio you can that match your skills that activate when you attack. Lets assume that the skills that activate most of the time are your Medium boost to forest attack. You want to find cards with a "High" Power-Attack Power ratio. By this I mean: Look for cards that have a low Power rating, yet a High Attack Power when fully enhanced. some examples for forest cards are below:

High Attack Ratio:
 Undying Umbral, The Soul Eater    pwr = 12    Attack(pm) = 9072   9072/12 = 756
 Unbound Rockface Basilisk           pwr = 11    Attack(pm) = 8050   8050/11 = 732

Medium Attack Ratio:

Seance Lushgrowth Leonard          pwr = 12    Attack(pm) = 7560    7560/12 = 630
Therianthrope Empress                  pwr = 15     Attack(pm) = 9450   9450/15 = 630

Low Attack Ratio:
Ghoulish Annihilator                       pwr = 13    Attack(pm) = 7150   7150/13 =  550
Urging Silent Gyhldeptis                 pwr = 10    Attack(pm) = 5320   5320/10 =  532

Pay attention to the attack and defense cause some cards are suited for either one and not the other. A good example is the Urging Silent Gyhldeptis above. Take a look at it's Defense Ratio:

Urging Silent Gyhldeptis                   pwr = 10   Defense(pm) = 7280   7280/10 =  728
                                                       (728 = High Defense Ratio)

I have developed a scale that I like to use to see if a card has High, Med, or Low ratios, here are the numbers:

High: 720+
Medium 719-620
Low 619-

There are cards with Higher and Lower attack ratio's than what I used. I am merely using these cards to demonstrate the example I was talking about. You will get the maximum for attack if you focus on using and pm'ing cards with Higher Ratio's. This works for both: ATTACK & DEFENSE, just substitute defense(pm) for attack(pm) in the formula and figure it out for your defense line!!! So use this to your advantage in the game. Also keep in mind, you can have as many multiples of one card in both your attack and defense backlines so stock up on cards with High ratio's for both your attack and defense backlines!!!

This is one of the most important factors to having a great line in the game! Do not let this hint pass you by!!! Please feel free to comment or add suggestions below. Thanks -KK

RAID EVENT STRATEGY

Raid Event Strategy
(Beta version)

Raid Events are one of the best events to gain lots of items in a short amount of time. Since every Raid Event is different, and the amount and type of gifts given for progression and defeating bosses seems to change every event, please take this article with a grain of salt, and just go with it for what it is worth.

Raid Events start out with questing that starts at the lowest level: 1 energy for 1 enemy, and progressively get more difficult the further you go in the event. The only down point to the Event Quest is that you do not gain (parameter points) for completing quests, only for leveling your account.

Bosses appear randomly and at fixed intervals during the event. These intervals are determined by LoC, and they do have a pattern (kind of). It's not completely discernible  but you can count on getting a boss every 5 or so completed quests. Sometimes you run into a group of bosses, one after another, in which case you can gain a massive amount feeder cards in a short amount of time.

     Beginning the Raid Event:

Starting off you will find it very easy to gain ground as well as gain cards. Bosses show up regularly, and they are easy to defeat. I suggest most players beat these bosses by themselves and try and progress in the Raid Event as far as possible as quickly as possible. "Forging Ahead" is a quick way to gain your experience and use your energy quickly. Be careful as you can lose presents if you do not have enough energy to defeat all the enemies the game wants to give you.

Middle Raid Event:

For each player this point is determined by their level as well as the amount of energy points they have. After a few Raid Events you will know where your middle ground is. This is the time you will start to be defeating the level 10+ bosses, possibly the ones that you cannot defeat with "full attack" power. It is best that you invite your fellow guild members and friends to battle these enemies with you. Not only will you be more successful in destroying the enemy, all members who participate will gain "Event treasure" from participating.

Latter Raid Event:

Now is the time to really pull together if you are in a guild. The bosses will be much stronger, and you will need to team up against them. Plus that rewards for defeating these bosses are much more lucrative. I suggest calling in guild members as soon as possible to your battles. If you have a boss with a huge amount of HP, I suggest battling it until your attack power is depleted  then use an "Orb of Sacred Light" on it so that you regain your attack power, and increase the damage done by every member participating in the battle. One orb can be used on one boss. Once a boss is orb'ed, another orb has no further or lasting effect on the boss at all, but it will replenish your attack power.

Event Strategy:

Waiting till the hidden boss appears is a good strategy at trying to conserve your PP until you can gain the maximum amount of damage for it, by using it on an orb'ed hidden boss. The drawbacks are you may not be able to make it far enough in the Event Quest in order to do this with your attack power in tact and not using any PP along the way. Its kind of a toss up, so you decide. If you have hard charging guild members, you can always tag along for their big battles and hopefully get some good treasure from it. You might also want to keep your Orbs until you see some bigger bosses. Anyone can Orb a boss, and the benefits of orbing only come from the first player to orb the boss. So talk it over with your fellow guild members as to who is the best candidate to orb the boss.

Using Gained Treasure:

Battling the bosses in the Raid Event will give you many many feeder cards, some MBD's PP's ED's and various other treasure. You may also gain common skilled cards along the way. These cards are great to be used when trying to advance the skill levels of your attack and defense line cards! I suggest using the treasure as you get it, so that you don't clutter your Presents list, however each player does what they want with their list. Keys gained are a great way to increase the amount of Rare or Ultra Rare cards you have. They can be redeemed in the Raid Event main screen listed under: Boss Reward Chest.

     Boss Reward Chest:

The Boss Reward Chest is filled with a bunch of helpful cards and items. If you have keys you should use them before the Event ends so that your keys do not disappear and you lose your chance at gaining items. Most items here can be traded or used as feeder cards for your UR's and Front-line Rares.

   Rewards:

There are individual and guild rewards available during this event. There are also half time awards dolled out for progress in the event during the break. Most items can be worth going for, but you as a player have to decide whether or not the next level of rewards is worth going for or not. You also may lose ranking when you sleep. it is very common for a player to lose his ranking only to gain it back right before he goes to bed the following day, lol.

All in all the Raid event is pretty chill and a good time to blow a few PP trying to gain some cards if you need them.

ELEMENTAL ATTACK & DEFENSE LINES

Elemental Attack & Defense Lines

Many players in Legend of the Cryptids do not know the full importance of an Attack or Defense line consisting of your primary element only. In the following paragraphs I will write up a short summery as to why it is vitally important to have a: "Primary Element Only: Attack and Defense line.

The first reason why it is so important to have an attack line consisting of cards only in your element is because you get an attack bonus when all the cards are of your primary element. Consider this:

Mike is an average (Forrest element) player, and he knows to put strong cards on his attack line. However, Mike is missing out on a bonus because his line consists of 2 Fire Element cards, 2 Water Element cards and only 1 Forrest Element card. What Mike doesn't know is that if he swaps out the 2 Water and  2 Fire Element cards with 4 Forrest cards, Mike would get an attack bonus. The only thing Mike is concerned about is getting the highest attack rating possible.

For the first 40 or so levels of this game, what Mike is doing is fine, however it soon becomes apparent that you need to get as much attack and defense as possible; and one of the best ways to do this is to put cards of your element into your attack and defense lines.

Another huge bonus that many players do not know exists in the game is: the transfer of skills to "Back-line" cards when you utilize a "Full Primary Element Line" When your line activates for an attack, skills come into play that boost your overall attack. What many players do not know though, is those skills transfer to your elements cards on your back line when attacking. I suspect the same thing occurs to the defense line, but I have not confirmed it yet. This means "SKILLS TRANSFER TO YOUR BACK-LINE ATTACK CARDS!!!" I have seen cards on the Back-line attack for more than their rated attack value!!! Yes, with the proper line and skills activated, your back-line can be totally awesome, if you let it!

I hope you all have learned a little something about the game and how it works, I sure have. Feel free to leave comments below, or confirm what I am writing, Thanks

BATTLE ROYALE STRATEGY

Battle Royale Strategy
(Beta: Version 1.1.0)
March 23, 2013

The Battle Royale on Legend of the Cryptids (r) is one of the most strategic and competitive events in the game. In fact, I am willing to say it is the most competitive and strategic of all, and there are many underlying reasons for this.

There are several "Very Important" areas of concern that the Leadership of any guild must pay attention to, in order to be as successful as they can during the Battle Royale. Those Areas include: Rampart Maintenance, Defense Leader, Sub-Leader, Attack-Leader, Attack Strategy, Preemptive defeat strategy, Hedging & Scenarios  This may sound strange but some guilds who are small can actually be very successful in the Battle Royale. Let's take a piece by piece look into each area of the Battle Royale strategy.

RAMPART MAINTENANCE

During my first Battle Royale as a Guild Leader I realized the importance of a Rampart. It is a guilds first line of defense against the onslaught of enemy guilds. A rampart 1/2's the amount of BR points attained by enemy guilds. Thereby, with a strong Rampart you can prevent an enemy guild from taking many points from your guild.

Guild Leader Responsibility: Fix the Rampart prior to Battle Royale & in between BR battles.

First, a guild has to know many things about its members to properly set up their Attack, Defense, and Sub Leaders, and ensure they have the "Right" members for the respective positions. This is the Guild Leaders responsibility, and it is the most important one prior to the Battle Royale Event!!!

RAMPART STRATEGY

Taking down the Rampart(s) is much more important than I had previously thought (Big Oops)! It is a vital part to winning a BR battle! Ramparts prevent other Guilds from attaining 100% of points gained against opposing guild members in a battle. When the rampart is in place, guild members only get 50% of points gained as opposed to full points for each BR battle against an opposing guild member.

(MORE TO FOLLOW IN THIS SECTION, CONCLUDING BR7 EVENT)
STAY TUNED!

DEFENSE LEADER(S)

There is a reason why the Defense Leader is the second most important area to talk about concerning Battle Royale strategy. It is the "Primary" line of defense for your guild. Until the Defense leader is defeated; "No other member of your guild can be touched!" Read that last sentence again and make sure it sinks in! Your Defense Leader(s) are the most important members of the guild when talking about Battle Royale Strategy! They can make or break your Battle Royale ranking. I recommend having 1 very strong Defense Leader for high ranking guilds who are strong, and 2-3 (active) Defense Leaders for lower ranking or weaker guilds. A (Power Potion contribution) can be set up for the Defense Leaders so they can keep their defense up throughout the Battle Royale event as well.

- Weak Defense Leader = A guild will soon be left open to attack by enemy guilds.
- Strong Defense Leader = A guild can survive for a longer period of time without being attacked!
- Strong & "Active" Defense Leader = A guild may survive indefinitely during a BR without being successfully attacked. For this to happen, the Defense Leader must use their power potions to keep their defense power up.

The Defense leader should be the member of the guild who can sustain the most amount of damage from other players in the game. There should be no exception to this rule. It does not matter if your friend wants the position to be cool, or if another member has been in the guild a long time and you as the leader think they deserve it. In order to be successful the Defense leader "MUST BE" the member of the guild who can sustain the most damage!!! More than likely, the member with the highest Def power, and the best or decent defense cards!!! There is no other argument for this (period)!

SUB LEADER

Sub-Leaders are very important to the Battle Royale strategy as well. They have a 150% bump to their Battle Royal points earnings which can add up during a battle. The Sub-Leader of the guild should "Undeniably" be the member of the guild with the highest attack power and the best setup of attack lines against each element. There is no other argument for this as well! Your sub-leader will provide the most attack damage Battle Royale points. It is recommended that you offer your Sub-leader a: (Power Potion Contribution) several days before and during the Battle Royale event. This means, every member of the guild should be required to provide a few power potions to the Sub-Leader prior to the Battle Royale event, as the Sub-Leader should keep them, and use them primarily for attacking other guilds during the event!

ATTACK LEADER(S)

Attack Leaders should be guild members with the highest attack power, duh. Their primary objective is to take down the Defense Leader of opposing guilds during the Battle Royale. Depending on your guild ranking, you can have many Attack Leaders. Be careful though, because this is a double edged sword. Your attack leaders also give a 120% BR points bonus (when defeated in a battle) to opposing guilds. So choose them wisely!!!

If you want to "MAXIMIZE" your ability with your attack leaders you may consider the following setup. If you can have 3 Attack Leaders, choose 3 members of your guild with the highest attack points, besides the Sub-Leader. Next, instruct them to organize the following: All 3, a Battle Royale attack line. All 3 Attack Leaders, organize 1 line with cards used to attack Rampart. All 3 Attack Leaders, organize 1 line with cards containing Large Boosts to Battle Royale points earnings. 1 Attack leader only = Forrest line that gains Large Boosts to Battle Royale point earnings. 1 Attack leader only = Fire line that gains Large Boosts to Battle Royale point earnings. 1 Attack leader only = Water line that gains Large Boosts to Battle Royale point earnings. During the next paragraph I will discuss "Using your Attack Leaders" for Attack Strategy during the Battle Royale event.

ATTACK STRATEGY

This strategy paragraph will vary widely depending on how strong your guild is. You as a guild leader should know how you compare to other guilds. For the Android OS (current as of 21 March 2013). Guild rankings can be summed up as such: Very strong guild: (Ranks 1-40ish) Strong Guild (Ranks 40ish-80ish) Moderately Strong Guilds (Ranks 80ish-150ish) Mediocre Guilds (Ranks 150ish-220ish) Weaker Guilds (Ranks 220ish-below) This vary's widely and is subject to change by amount of LoC players in guilds and guild participation during the Battle Royale Events.

For the top 80 guilds, I recommend attacking the Rampart first. Especially if you have members with cards that have Large and Great boosts to BR points claimed while attacking a Rampart. This strategy will in the long run allow your guild to gain massive amounts of points once the Rampart is destroyed, as you more than likely have a multitude of strong players with power potions to burn, this is lucrative when gaining points after the Rampart has been destroyed, thereby increasing BR points earned & BR ranking placement.

For Mediocre Guilds, I recommend setting up your lines accordingly to the paragraphs above, and attacking the Defense Leader of the opposing guild in a senseless barrage of attacks (until defeated). Once you have taken the Defense Leader down you can concentrate on lower level members of the opposing guild, thereby setting your attack damage % accordingly, thereby gaining the maximum amount of BR points you can. If you have a Sub-leader or Attack-leader willing to burn power potions taking down a Rampart, Have at it! You can gain double the points after the Rampart is down. However, with fewer members than the higher ranked guilds it may be hard continue an onslaught against a Rampart, especially if it is maxed at 50K, and your Attack and Sub leaders do not have allot of power potions.

For weaker guilds, I undoubtedly suggest the following strategy (Preemptive Defeat Strategy). Lets face it, you are not strong enough to compete, and doing so will drastically suck your precious power potion resources away from you. My suggestion to you is to set up your Sub/Atk/Def Leaders accordingly and ride out the storm as best as you can. Really, this is the best strategy for you, sorry to burst your bubble. :-( If you happen to find yourself in a Battle with an equally weak partner, by all means take advantage of the situation. Otherwise, cower, hide, and grow stronger for the next BR Event.

PREEMPTIVE DEFEAT STRATEGY

Basically, this means kissing your butt and hiding. During the Battle Royale you will have chances to go up against all ranks of guilds, some good, some bad and some great. If you are a weaker guild and have no chance of defeating a Rampart, or taking down a Defense Leader, who has an outrageous amount of defense power: JUST SIT THERE AND TAKE IT! I'm being serious! in the long run you will save your precious power potions and frustration trying to defeat a Defense Leader, only to find out the opposing guild is already up 20K+ in BR points ahead of you, and ready to "HEDGE" you! Just sit back and weather the storm, really!

HEDGING

Hedging (coined by yours truly) is a new technique I have seen some strong guilds employing in their BR Battles. It's very interesting and has a "Psychological" effect on opposing guilds.

When a weaker guild finally takes down the Defense Leader of an opposing guild, the "flood gates" are open for the weaker guild to start whoopin on the stronger guild. Many stronger guilds know this is possible, so they employ "Hedging".

Hedging is what happens when a stronger guild lightly "pecks at" a weaker guild until the weaker guild finally takes down the stronger guilds Defense Leader. When this happens the stronger guild "Jumps ahead" n a barrage of attacks against the weaker guild. BR points earnings skyrocket for the stronger guild in no time at all.

What the stronger guild is doing, is they are giving the weaker guild a "false sense of security and hope" that it can defeat the stronger guild, thereby letting the weaker guild burn through its supply of power potions in an attempt to beat the stronger guild. Once the stronger guild jumps ahead of the weaker guild, the members of the weaker guild are left with a sense of hopelessness that they can't at all catch up in the Battle. The weaker guild may very well quit trying to attack the stronger guild as they feel they can't win, thereby the stronger guild invariably saves power potions by not having to attack the weaker guild again. Genius if you ask me ;-)

SCENARIOS

Lets take the hypothetical guild (Dummy Rangers). The Dummy Rangers do not know much about BR strategy as I will soon show you by the way they set up their members. Here is way they set up their members for the Battle Royale.

Incorrect Guild Setup

Stan     (Sub Leader)       Attack Power=  320  Defense Power= 340
John     (Def Leader)       Attack Power=  240  Defense Power= 200
Sara     (Atk Leader)       Attack Power=  150  Defense Power= 240
Jean     (Atk Leader)       Attack Power=  180  Defense Power= 190

Stan should be the Defense Leader!
John & Jean should be Attack Leaders!
Sara should be the Sub-Leader

Now let's take a look a the (Cryptid Crushers), a guild with the proper setup. They have highest Def point member as their Def Leader, the highest Atk point member as the Sub-Leader, and they managed to get in a couple of Atk-Leaders with high attack points.

Correct Guild Setup

Marty    (Sub Leader)     Attack Power= 340    Defense Power= 300 (Highest ATK)
Joe        (Def Leader)     Attack Power= 180    Defense Power= 450 (Highest DEF)
Mary     (Atk Leader)     Attack Power= 320    Defense Power= 110 (High ATK)
Jane       (Atk Leader)     Attack Power= 230    Defense Power= 150 (High ATK)
Mearl     (Atk Leader)     Attack Power= 120    Defense Power= 80 (High ATK)
June       (Atk Leader)     Attack Power= 150    Defense Power= 90 (High ATK)

Once again, let me reiterate  Do not give positions out to: friends, people who want them, or all that jazz unless you want to get your butt whooped! Be smart and design your guild for a maximum Battle Royale advantage! You as the guild leader should find out who has the best Def / Atk point(s) in your guild! Otherwise, why are you the leader???

I hope this article helps you out for the Battle Royale. There are some things that I have not talked about yet, as I need more time and experience to get to them. If you utilize the above strategy you just may be able to survive, win, or dominate the next Battle Royale. Good luck to you all.

Backline Strategy

For most players the limiting factor to the quantity of cards that are utilized during an attack or while defending is not the amount of cards that they are permitted to have in their deck (90 maximum) but rather their respective attack or defense parameters.

Meet Joe:

Joe has an his attack parameter currently at 200. His frontline has a total “pwr needed” of 50. That means Joe can use 150 attack parameter points for his backline. For simplicity let’s say the average card has a “pwr needed” of 10. Therefor Joe could use 15 cards in his backline.

To get the most out of these precious parameter points allocated to his backline, Joe needs to consider a cards efficiency rating. Cards with a higher efficiency rating are going to allow Joe to utilize his backline to its fullest potential.

Efficiency rating is calculated as: PM Max Points / PWR Needed

Comparing two cards.

Eager Ammit: pwr = 12 atk = 8050, efficiency = 670 (8050 / 12)
Timber Dragon: pwr = 5 atk = 3500, efficiency = 700 (3500 / 5)

In addition to efficiency Joe should also consider a cards’ value. A cards’ value is calculated as follows: efficiency / cost. Using the same two cards as above let’s figure out each cards’ value.

Eager Ammit: efficiency = 670 cost = 10pp, value = 67 (670 / 10)
Timber Dragon: efficiency = 700 cost = 2pp, value = 350 (700 / 2)

Now let’s fill Joes’ backline once with Eager Ammits and once with Timber Dragons and see what happens. Remember Joe has 150 attack parameter points he can use.

Using Eager Ammit, Joe could have 12 Eagers in his backline (150 / 12 = 12).
Using Timber Dragon, Joe could have 30 Timber Dragons in his backline (150 / 5 = 30).

Now let’s see what Joes backline total points and cost would be for each of these situations.

Eager Ammit: Total attack points = 96,600 (12 * 8050), cost = 120pp (12 * 10pp)
Timber Dragon: Total attack points = 105,000 (30 * 3500), cost = 60pp (30 * 2pp)

As you can see from this example Joe can fill his backline spending half the cost on Timber Dragon than on Eager Ammit and have a more powerful backline at the same time.

Imperial Order (FYI) Team Postings

As a guild we feel that in order to be a top ranking guild, Communication is key! We have devised a way to make that communication process as easy as possible, by having small teams, everyone should be able to communicate effectively. We want all members to download kik from (Google Play Store). This is imperative to the communication process of the guild.

We have assigned Team Leaders for each guild member. These team leaders have been chosen because they are among the most active, communicative, as well as the most knowledgeable in the guild.

Your Team Leader will have the following responsibilities:
Ensure that each member is active and participates in ALL events.
Ensure each member knows guild requirements and follows them.
Ensures that each member has accurate and current information about game play.
Identify future leaders based on knowledge, participation, helpfulness and effective communication.
Provide Guild Leader and Sub Leader with information for guild cuts and promotions.

As a member, your responsibility is to:
communicate with your Team Leader, be active and follow guild requirements.

Even though we are forming smaller teams, we are still one big team, so remember:

LOC EVENT CYCLE

LOC EVENT CYCLE
(PP-ED-COIN-CARD)

It has come to my attention and probably others as well that there is a cycle in the LOC game. It has to do allot with the Events that happen, their frequency and what is gained and lost during these events. Below is a chart and some useful text on what I have noticed works well in the game. Disclaimer: This is only my experience, others playing LOC may experience different results.

BATTLE ROYALE EVENT
During a Battle Royale Event, Guilds are battling other guilds in primeval warfare. The price and desire for Power Potions (PP) is extremely high. Card value is also moderately high at this time. This means you can buy almost any card for cheaper than normal since players are scrambling for extra PP.

RAID EVENT
Raid events are great events to stockpile up on enhancing cards. Players compete to go as far as they can in the event gaining massive amounts of cards, so the value of cards drops dramatically at this time. This does not include Rares or Ultra-rares unless they are handed out during the event. Energy Drinks are in high demand as they can be used by players to go further in the event. Power Potions are also in high demand as they are used to defeat multi-million damage raid bosses.

ODYSSEY EVENT
Odyssey Events are individual events in which players try and make it as far as they can in the event. Prizes are usually dolled out every 5 quests with better prizes given in 25-30 or 50 quest mile markers. During this time Energy Drinks are in very high demand. Normally, on the message board, you can gain more PP for ED, thereby increasing your stockpile of PP. Odyssey Events also radomly give out both bound and unbound PP-ED as well as coins and event items.

TRADING & TRADING URL's

     TRADING

"A work in progress"

Guess I can't go to bed yet, so on to trading! Trading is an awesome way to make a great deck. There is a vast and lively market built into the LoC game itself, located on the "message board". Go there and select "Trading". Your screen will be populated with the latest trades. Be aware, they update very quickly, so refreshing is a must! You can also create a new trade. Subject line is limited to 16 characters, and input field is limited to 160 I believe.

Here are a few terms you might need to know before trading or expecting to understand the "Trading Lingo":

LF = Looking For
S   = Selling
B   = Buying
B/T = Buy or Trade
S/T = Sell or Trade

PP = Power Potions or Pots
ED = Energy Drinks

UR = Ultra Rares
SK = Skill Level
BM = Base Max
PM = Perfect Max (usually a maxed card not indicative of maximum skill level)
MBD = Mighty Baby Dragons
BGD = Baby Genius Dragons

B / Bump / Up = (regenerating or recycling the post to the top of the message board)

Ok, so what sets the price of a Rare, or Ultra Rare? The players do of course. Its a free market system, unlike the real world.... j/k. Anyways, its always good to check at the site listed below, or go to the message board and post a "Price Check or PC" and see what other players are willing to pay for cards. Here are some hyperlinks to the LoC Wikia Main Page & other pages concerning trading:

Visitor Comments & Public Domain Access

     Ok, short notice here.

Visitor commenting is now permitted. Yes, that means anyone can comment. Please keep it clean and professional. I do not wish to use my precious time so I can ban idiots all day, but I will if I have to.

Also, for the moment public domain has been granted for all to see and check out our Blog. I intend to keep most of the helpful hints up and going for public access, while creating separate and secure blogs for our individual guild.

Thanks for visiting

EVOLVING

EVOLVING

Evolving is another way to make your cards stronger in LOC. In order to Evolve, you must have two of the same cards, and they must be either: commons, rares, or ultra rares (1,3,or 5 Star) cards. Once you Evolve a card you cannot undo this step, so steps must be made to ensure you wish to evolve the card before you do so. Disclaimer: Information will be added when it becomes available. Thanks

Hint #1 (Maxing)
It is recommended that if you wish to gain the most strength from your cards you would want to "Enhance" your cards to its maximum level before evolving it. This needs to be done with "BOTH" of the cards you wish to evolve together in order to gain the 10% attack and defense power carryover upon evolving.

Hint #2
If you wish just to gain a gallery slot filled and your intent is not to maximize your cards out, then you can evolve your cards without enhancing them with no worries. Not recommended if you intend to use this card for your front line, or back line.

Hint #3
It is recommended to check: www.legendofthecryptids.wikia.com to see the maximum attack and defense power of the cards you wish to evolve before you do so. Then you can choose whether or not the card you plan to evolve will be worth evolving or not. Choose the cards with the highest attack and defense power upon evolving. When you fully max a card this is called (PM) or Perfect Max.

Hint #5
PM'ed cards are worth a whole lot more than just BM (Base Max) or unevolved cards.

ENHANCING

ENHANCING

Enhancing in LOC, is one tool to get your cards to their maximum strength and use. It is important to know how to Enhance properly as to save time, coins, and heartache. Disclaimer: Information will be added and updated to this blog as soon as it becomes known. Thanks :-)

Lets say you have a rare or ultra rare card you wish to enhance. How do you get the most out of your cards and time so that you can level your card quickly and properly? Here is how:

Hint #1
Use cards of the same element to the card you are enhancing. This will give a small bonus when you enhance your card. IE: Select your rare or ultra rare card you want to enhance. Then select 10 common cards "of the same element" to enhance your card.

Hint #2
Use common cards to enhance up to level 12 of the card you are enhancing. After level 12 or so it becomes more lucrative to enhance with common ex's instead of just common cards. Basically, you save coins doing it this way.

Hint #3 (Using Might Baby Dragons)
Mighty Baby Dragons and their ultra rare version are used to increase the % gained when enhancing. I like to get past level 12 on the card I am enhancing, then in the next round of enhancing I used 9 or 8 common ex cards with 1 or 2 Mighty Baby Dragon cards. This greatly increases the % gained from each enhancement cycle and you save coins and time enhancing.

Hint #4
On your My Page screen there is section which displays an "Enhance Button" along with quest, card pack, battle, and evolve. Got it, Good! Ok, so when there is a message below the "Enhance Button" that says % up, or chance up, it is a great time to do enhancing. You automatically gain a bonus when you enhance your cards during this time.

Hint #5
Possibly the most important hint of the game is this: When you are looking for cards to enhance with it becomes a race between your energy and the right cards necessary to use to enhance. One way to ensure you always get the right cards for little amount of energy is going to the right "Area" on the quest page. Go to the quest page and scroll down until you see "Area List". Select this, now you can revisit the chapters you previously went through. Pick "Chapter 2" as chapter 1 is unavailable. All 5 quests in "Chapter 2" use a minimal amount of energy for cards gifted. Chapter 2-5 is the one I use primarily to gain 1 of 3 different cards each with one of the elements (Forrest, Fire, Water) represented. You can now get a card for only 3 Energy! Max out your card list and then evolve if needed before using these cards to enhance with!

LEVELING

LEVELING

Helpful hints for Noobs & Interested players

Legend of the Cryptids (R) has a unique way of leveling. There are several ways to accomplish this depending on what you want to do in the game. Disclaimer: There may be more or different types of Leveling, this blog will be updated as information presents itself.

Option 1   (Questing)
If you wish to level quickly (without needing skilled cards for enhancing), simply choose "Quest" from the top or my page screens. The current or furthest quest automatically appears before you. Simply press "Start" and begin questing. Note: this method gives "Parameter Points" which can be used to increase your attack, defense, or energy level.

Option 2   (Odyssey Questing)
Odyssey quests appear on LOC every now and again. They are great for gaining: common level cards with skills, Power Potions (pp) and Energy Drinks (ed). The common level cards with skills can be used in enhancing the skill level of: rares and ultra rare cards. Another benefit with Odyssey events is that "sometimes" you can gain more experience for the amount of energy used, when questing. Check the after quest screen to be sure.

Option 3   (Raid Events)
Raid Events are guild oriented events in which players can also gain experience. Although not the best way to gain experience, the primary objective for a Raid Event is to defeat as many enemies as possible, thereby gaining rank for your guild and or your individual account.
